Peking Man Site

Peking Man at Zhoukoudian site Fangshan in Beijing , also known as a place where Ape Man Cave. Here , tourists can can fossils of Peking Man and other animal bones and stone products see Paleolithic to explore how the development of primitive life and our human ancestors .
In 1921, the habitat of the cave of Peking Man at Zhoukoudian was discovered in 1929 and archaeologists three fossil teeth and fossil skull of Peking Man and the tools of production primitive man found the remains and ash, because fire . Discovery aroused excitement worldwide . In 1930, Peking Man Site , senior fossils were found a caveman who lived 18,000 years ago . However , it is unfortunate that the samples of fossils of Peking Man and Upper Cave people were killed in the war was lost . Since the founding of New China, many efforts to eradicate the site and many other fossil hominid teeth , skulls , animals and objects discovered stone were made.
In 1953 , the Museum of the Peking Man was available to the public and more than 3,000 cultural monuments. The site was inscribed on the World Heritage List of UNESCO in 1987.
